Duration Concrete Coatings has been coating garage, patio, basement, and commercial floors across Fort Wayne and Allen County since 2012. But one thing sets us apart from every other coating crew in Indiana: we don't just install the Duralast® polyaspartic system — we own it, make it, and supply it to more than 70 coating companies nationwide. When the owner is on your job site, he's the same person who stands behind the chemistry in the bucket. We Make the Coating We Install: The Duralast® Story
Most floor-coating companies buy their product off a shelf and hope the manufacturer got the formula right. Duration is different. We are the direct distributor and owner of the Duralast® polyaspartic system — the same coating we've put down on hundreds of Fort Wayne floors — and we supply it to 70+ coating companies across the country.
Owner Dan Diven has worked with the Duralast® chemistry since 2012. Owning the product means we control the three things that actually determine whether a floor lasts: the formula, the consistency of every batch, and the warranty that backs it. We're not waiting on a supplier to make good on a claim — the buck stops with us. It's also why we run three seasonal blends (winter, summer, and extreme-heat) tuned to how polyaspartic cures in Indiana's temperature and humidity swings. A national installer buying generic product can't do that.
Why polyaspartic, and why it matters here
Duralast® polyaspartic is engineered to outperform standard epoxy in exactly the conditions Fort Wayne throws at a floor: freeze-thaw cracking, road-salt scaling, and UV exposure that turns old epoxy yellow. Duration was founded in 2012 on a simple idea: customers were paying premium prices to big corporate coating outfits and getting crews who cut corners. Dan started Duration so the owner is on-site, the materials are consistent, and the price is fair. More than a decade later, we still run 300–350 installations a year across the area, and 40–50% of that work comes from repeat customers and referrals — the clearest signal a local company can point to that the work holds up.
